On September 15th and 16th, 2017, the Indiana Department of Education in partnership with the Univeristy of Indaianapolis School of Education, and Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing will be offering a teacher workshop focused on integrating computer science into the K-8 curriculum.
Workshop attendees will work to integrate Indiana CS standards across STEAM subject areas, learn about unplugged computing activities, get an introduction to coding, work with data, create visualizations, and learn about toys and tools that can be used to address computer science. In addition, participants will work to develop a CS pipeline plan, and participate in various challenges to win prizes.
Cost for the workshop is $20/day or $30 for both days. For more information, contact Dena Irwin.
