Purdue University, in cooperation with the Indiana Hoosier Heartland CSTA, hosted thirteen teachers on campus for a three-day computer science teaching workshop from July 25th to July 27th, 2016. During the workshop, the teachers worked together to develop collaborative lesson plans, address the Big Ideas of the new Computer Science Principles course, and build the CSTA Community of Practice.
The Computer Science Teachers Association National Conference will be held this year in San Diego, CA from July 10-12. For those that have not attended in the past, this is an excellent opportunity to interact with other computer science teachers and learn about what is new in the field of computing education.
The Indiana Hoosier-Heartland chapter of the CSTA will hold a Fall meeting for members on 9/11 at 3:30 pm. The meeting will be held virtually via Google Hangouts On-Air, and will be available to watch via the IN-CSTA YouTube channel at any point after the meeting has ended. Those with questions or concerns that cannot attend the live Hangout should e-mail their thoughts to Phil Sands (email@example.com), and the group will address them after discussing new business.
