Purdue University, in partnership with edX, is offering an online AP Computer Science A course for the 2016-17 academic year. This course can be taken by students, or interested educators, at no cost. The class will feature instruction from Purdue faculty and staff, and will cover all topics addressed in the AP CS A course curriculum.
As part of their on-going effort to expand and support AP CS A teachers around the state and country, the AP~TIP IN program will be hosting a few 1-day workshops and live online webinars during the upcoming Spring semester.
The Computer Science Teachers Association National Conference will be held this year in San Diego, CA from July 10-12. For those that have not attended in the past, this is an excellent opportunity to interact with other computer science teachers and learn about what is new in the field of computing education.
