The Computer Science Teachers Association National Conference will be held this year in San Diego, CA from July 10-12. For those that have not attended in the past, this is an excellent opportunity to interact with other computer science teachers and learn about what is new in the field of computing education.
The Indiana Hoosier-Heartland chapter of the CSTA will hold a Fall meeting for members on 9/11 at 3:30 pm. The meeting will be held virtually via Google Hangouts On-Air, and will be available to watch via the IN-CSTA YouTube channel at any point after the meeting has ended. Those with questions or concerns that cannot attend the live Hangout should e-mail their thoughts to Phil Sands (firstname.lastname@example.org), and the group will address them after discussing new business.
The 2014 CSTA Conference is being held in nearby St. Charles, IL. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with fellow CS teachers, learn about new teaching tools and strategies, and begin preparations for the 2014-15 academic year with a boost of energy and enthusiasm.
