TechPoint Foundation for Youth is hosting a free hackathon for students aged 7-17 on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Indianapolis at DeveloperTown’s headquarters. The event will include a daylong series of activities, exhibits, and competitions in Scratch and Python.
Purdue University’s Department of Computer Science has opened up their PD4CS teacher support materials to all teachers after 3-years of testing and development. The NSF-sponsored project has supported hundreds of teachers in their preparation for teaching programming and other computing concepts.
IndyPy, a group of Python developers located in the greater Indianapolis-area, would like to welcome any interested educators and their students to participate in their monthly meetups. Current meetups are held face-to-face in downtown Indianapolis, but future meetings may be live-streamed if interest levels in the meetings increases.
